YIELD SIGNSÂ
Do you ever stop to think about what a yield sign tells you to do? Yield means to give, to give up, or in other words to let go. When we have a steering wheel in our hands, we give this no thought at all. We give up our space and let the other car go first. It is what we are expected to do. No thought at all to giving up control. How about when we are holding something besides a steering wheel? The steering wheel looks like possessions, money, hobbies, work, opinions, our kids, and the list can go on. We don't give this much thought either because we don't recognize we are holding on. When we recognize what and why we are holding on, it becomes easier to let go. It is only after we let go that we can give. Ask yourself these questions. What are you afraid to let go of? Worded differently, What does your steering wheel look like? What would happen if you let go? One answer to this question could be freedom. Freedom from _________. I will let you fill in the blank. Happy Fourth of July. I wish you freedom.
